Dog jobs

Assistance Dogs: They help people with disabilities. They usually go to a guide dog training school and learn how to help people. Some of them work with people that have a hard time getting around. Other dogs help blind or deaf people. There are also Therapy Dogs that help people feel better and not so sad.

Entertainment Dogs: Did you know that some dogs are actually actors? They are in movies and on television. There are also some dogs that are Show Dogs. They go to competitions and are judge for their intelligence and looks. We also read about some dogs that race. Greyhounds are used for racing quite a bit because they are very fast. When the greyhounds stop racing they retire and need homes. It's smart to adopt these dogs if you can.

Herding Dogs and Livestock Guardians: These are dogs that help farmers and ranchers. They will often help get all the cows and sheep into the pens. They are usually pretty fast and can scare the other animals into following directions. Other dogs help keep a watchful eye on the animals to make sure other animals, like wolves and bears will not hurt them.

Search and Rescue Dogs: These are very special dogs. They are trained to find people and save them. They can be any breed of dog. They have a very strong sesne of smell and are usually strong. They can be as helpful to rescuers as 10 human beings. Search and Rescue dogs were used during the 9/11 rescue and recovery in NYC.

Police Dogs: They are trained very hard to be good at their jobs. Some of them are trained to search for drugs. They are usually very good at tracking people and finding the bad guys.

My speech------Dogs & puppies

Who let the dogs out? Woof, woof! Woof, woof! Oh, it’s not me! I’m just interested in dogs. And of course, puppies as well. I would like to share some facts with you. First, I’m going to tell you about new born puppies.
A puppy is born blind, deaf, tooth-less and they can’t stand. During it’s first week 90℅ of the puppy’s time is spent sleeping and 10℅ eating. Their eyes will about 13 to 15 days after birth. Puppies should not be separated from their mother until they are 8 weeks old.
Have you ever wondered about who’s the heaviest dog or something like that? I’m now going to tell you about the dog history. The dog was one of the first animals domesticated by humans. The first dog show was held in England in 1859. The world’s heaviest and longest dog is an English Mastiff named Zorba which weigh 3423 pounds 8 feet 3 inches long from nose to tail. The oldest age recorded for a dog is 29 years and 5 months old.
Do you have a dog? Do you give it a job? Lots of dogs have jobs did you know that? Dogs have jobs like assistance dogs, entertainment dogs, police dogs, search and rescue dogs and herding dogs. Assistance dogs help people with disabilities. Entertainment dogs are on movies and on television. There are also some dogs are show dogs. Herding dogs help farmers and ranchers. They will often help to get all the cows and sheep into their pens. Search and rescue dogs are very special dogs. They are trained to find people and save them. They can be any breed of dog. Police dogs are trained very hard to be good at their jobs. Some of them are trained to search for drubs. They are usually very good at tracking people and finding the bad guys.
Did you know that there are more than 700 types of pure breed dogs in the world? If you didn’t know that you should know that know. The Chihuahua, Yorkshire terrier and Toy poodle are the smallest dogs. The tallest dogs are the Great Dane and the Irish wolfhound. Greyhounds can reach speeds up to 45 miles per hour. If we can all run that fast wouldn’t it be so cool! Chow Chows have blue-black tongues, Would you like your tongue to be like that? I bet not!
Woof, woof! Woof, woof! So that's who let the dogs out! I better warn him to do it one at a time, otherwise the whole street will be fill of dogs! Hope you learnt more new interesting facts about dogs.

I am poem

I AM
I am a puppy
I wonder where my owner is going to take me to next
I hear other puppies bark
I want to go and play with them
I am sad because my owner doesn't let me
I pretend i was there playing with them

I feel a lot better
I touch the window gently with my paw
I worry it is going to rain, they will go home and i can't 'play' with
them anymore
I am right, now it is raining, and they've all gone home
I understand that the weather is not always the kind i want
I say it is ok, because this happens to everyone, not only me
I dream about my mum and dad
I try not to be sad
I hope sometime i will see them again
I am a puppy, just an ordinary puppy
n ordinary puppy
